Uruguayan steak is a dish eaten frequently in Cuba. Although its name suggests an Uruguayan origin, this ham- and cheese-stuffed steak, breaded and fried, is part of Cuban culinary tradition. On our island, it was a delight and a celebration at home on the day grandma made it.
