Chicken strips are eaten almost everywhere on the planet, and each culture prepares them with their own spices. Here we present our way of making them, with a very Cuban flavor thanks to the garlic, cumin and oregano marinade.

Chicken meat is one of the most used in kitchens around the world: the first domesticated chickens came from India more than 4,000 years ago, but their consumption truly spread during the 20th century due to its high protein content and low fat.

  3. Let the chicken rest 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  4. Put the wheat flour in a bag, add the chicken strips and shake it so that the flour adheres well to the pieces.
  5. Remove the excess flour and pass the floured strips through the beaten egg.
  6. Repeat the bag operation, but this time with the breadcrumbs.
  7. Set aside the breaded chicken strips and discard the leftover flour and breadcrumbs.
  8. Heat the oil in a pot over high heat.
  9. Fry the chicken in the hot oil until golden.
  10. Let it drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
