Method
Dough
- In a large bowl, mix the warm water, olive oil and yeast. Stir well until the yeast is completely dissolved.
- Add the flour and pinch of salt little by little, mixing with a spoon or with your hands until a homogeneous dough forms.
- Sprinkle a little flour on the countertop so the dough does not stick.
- Turn the dough onto the surface and knead it for 3-4 minutes with the palms of your hands, until it is soft, elastic and does not stick too much. If necessary, add a little more flour.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean cloth and let it rest for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
Shaping and assembly
- Once rested, divide the dough into two parts to make two large pizzas.
- Flour the countertop and stretch each portion with a rolling pin or with your hands, in the shape of a circle or rectangle, as you prefer.
- Place the stretched dough on a baking sheet or a pizza stone.
- Brush the surface with a layer of tomato purée.
- Add the grated cheese and the ingredients you prefer: ham, chorizo, pineapple, peppers, olives, etc.
Baking
- Preheat the oven to 220-250 °C with top and bottom heat.
- Bake the pizza in the center of the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden.

CiberCuba - If you like a more toasted base, move the tray to the lower part of the oven for 2-3 more minutes.
