This dish combines Italian and Cuban cuisine, adding the flavor of shredded beef that we eat in recipes like ropa vieja, vaca frita, or meat with potatoes that we love to cook so much, all based on second-cut or flank beef.

Method
For the meat
- Cook the meat in a pressure cooker with water and salt for 25 minutes from when it starts to build pressure. It must be so tender that a knife pierces it without effort.

CiberCuba - Let it cool, shred it with your fingers, and remove excess fat or skin.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the meat, lemon juice, garlic and onion powder, salt, and pepper. Sauté for just a few minutes, enough to take on flavor, without becoming too wet. Set aside.

For the vegetables
- Chop the onion, bell peppers, and zucchini into cubes.
- Sauté them in olive oil over low heat for 5-10 minutes, until tender. Set aside.

CiberCuba - Chop the spinach: they can be added raw, no prior cooking is needed.

For the béchamel
- Heat the milk in a saucepan without letting it boil.
- In another pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the flour and mix well until a paste forms.
- Gradually incorporate the hot milk, beating constantly to avoid lumps. If it becomes too thick, add more milk.
- Season with salt and a touch of nutmeg. If lumps appear, pass it through the blender to make it smooth. Set aside.
Assembly and baking
- Preheat the oven to 220 °C with top and bottom heat.
- If the sheets need soaking, place them in hot water for 5 minutes.
- Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of the baking dish (no parchment paper needed) and place a layer of lasagna sheets on top.
- On the sheets, spread a little tomato sauce (do not overdo it, use a brush or spoon to help), then béchamel, sautéed vegetables, and a little cheese. Cover with another layer of sheets.
- Repeat the process, but in this second layer put the shredded meat instead of the vegetables.

CiberCuba - Finish with a layer of lasagna sheets and cover it with béchamel, a little tomato, and plenty of grated cheese.

CiberCuba - Bake following the package instructions, generally about 20 minutes at 220 °C.
- Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, cut into portions, and enjoy!
