Chocolate natilla is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert, one of those prepared at home with ingredients almost always found in the kitchen: milk, eggs, sugar, cornstarch, and a little cocoa.

Method

  1. Put ¾ l of milk in a saucepan and reserve the rest (¼ l) in a separate glass. Place the saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the cornstarch to the reserved milk in the glass and stir until completely dissolved.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with the vanilla and sugar until well combined.
  4. Add the milk with the cornstarch to the yolks and mix well.
  5. Before the milk in the saucepan begins to boil, add the cocoa powder and stir until dissolved.
  6. Incorporate the mixture of yolks, sugar, vanilla, and cornstarch. Stir constantly, especially along the edges and bottom so it does not stick, until it begins to thicken.
  7. Remove from heat and immediately transfer the natilla to the serving dishes.
  8. Let it cool to room temperature and then refrigerate until it is to your liking.
